I recently recovered from tonsillitis. I haven’t smoked since I was diagnosed with tonsillitis. How long should I wait to smoke again after recovering from tonsillitis? I recovered last week from it. I am 41 years old male. Can anyone suggest what should I do? When can I smoke after recovering from tonsillitis?

@ace-0 Hello, No doctor will advise you to smoke again. As you did not smoke for 11 days , take this as an opportunity and quit smoking. I would suggest you make a healthier choice for yourself and quit smoking as it will damage your lungs and will affect your health. It may take 2 weeks for you to recover. Ask when you can drive or return to work. Do not smoke. Nicotine and other chemicals in cigarettes and cigars can prevent healing after surgery. If it is difficult for you then you may ask your doctor. He will tell you what needs to be done. Thanks!
