Hello, I am 19 years old female. I am about to use contraceptive pills for the first time and I want to ask you all about your experiences. Is there anything that I should know before taking such pills?

@shone Hello, You should talk to your OB-GYN before going on any specific pill, but here are some things that you may want to know before you think about taking the pill. The pill is 99% effective just be sure to use a backup barrier birth control method, such as a condom, Your period may change or even stop altogether, Your acne may clear up, Your mood may change, and you can experience Abdominal pain, Chest pain (severe), cough, shortness of breath, Headache (severe), dizziness, weakness, or numbness, in that case, you should consult a doctor. Thanks!!
