Hello, I am 35 years old male. 2 years back I suffered from a fatty liver after that I stopped drinking alcohol but it all started back two months back at my office party. since then I am drinking twice a week. I get occasional pain near the liver. Could this be a sign of fatty liver? Please suggest what should I do?

@tyshonne Hello, Consult your doctor if your liver hurts after drinking alcohol. Causes of pain originating in the liver itself include chronic hepatitis (liver inflammation), fatty liver disease, liver abscess, and liver cancer. Drinking excess alcohol can cause liver pain, and damage and lead to liver disease or cirrhosis. If left untreated, liver damage can lead to serious complications and, finally, death. Consult your doctor if you drink alcohol. Please see a doctor immediately. Thanks!
