@godfrey mHSPC remains incurable. While ADT, with or without nonsteroidal antiandrogens, has been the backbone of mHSPC treatment for many decades, ADT alone is no longer considered sufficient treatment for mHSPC. In the past 5 years, multiple studies have shown that additional therapy with either docetaxel or androgen pathway–directed therapy (abiraterone acetate plus prednisone, apalutamide, enzalutamide) significantly extends overall and progression-free survival.
