Hello, my wife is pregnant and she had been dealing with heartburn. Can anyone tell me what can be done to get relieve heartburn? We talked about this to our doctor she said it is quite common during pregnancy. It can be caused by hormonal changes and the growing baby pressing against the stomach. Can anyone tell me How to deal with heartburn during pregnancy? Thanks!!!

@leno Hello, if her symptoms are mild then they can be managed through some lifestyle changes. Eating healthily, Changing eating and drinking habits. It can help to eat small meals often, rather than larger meals 3 times a day, and to not eat within 3 hours of going to bed at night. Cutting down on drinks containing caffeine, and foods that are rich, spicy, or fatty, can also ease symptoms. Sitting straight when eating. This will take the pressure off your stomach. Propping your head and shoulders up when you go to bed can stop stomach acid from coming up while you sleep. You should take her to the GP if she has difficulty eating or keeping food down, weight loss, or stomach pain. Thanks!
