Hello, I am 66 years old male. I felt a lump on my arms. What is the reason for the lump? What should I do? Should I be worried? Please share with me the reasons for having lumps on your arms. Could it be a symptom of anything serious? Thank You.

@ssidy Hello, A lump in the armpit can have many causes. These include swollen lymph nodes, infections, or cysts. The lymphatic system filters fluid from around cells. It is an important part of the immune system. Bumps that are cancerous are typically large, hard, painless to the touch, and appear spontaneously. The mass will grow in size steadily over the weeks and months. Cancerous lumps that can be felt from the outside of your body can appear in the breast, testicle, or neck, but also in the arms and legs. You should contact your healthcare provider if the armpit lump: Doesn't go away after two weeks. Feels hard and painful. Thanks!
