Hello, I am 18 years old female. I have been dealing with constipation for the last few months. I read somewhere a mixture of olive oil and lemon juice on empty stomach helps in treating constipation. Is it so? Will it be beneficial to take a mixture of olive oil and lemon juice on empty stomach? Please give me advice! What should I do? Thanks!!

@neona Hello, olive oil, lemon juice, and water these 3 ingredients can radically boost your immune system, detox your body, cure constipation and improve your health. Olive oil is often touted for its potential health benefits, which include lowering cholesterol and helping to balance blood sugar levels. The oil may also help treat constipation. The fats in olive oil can help smooth the insides of the bowel, making it easier for stools to pass. It can also help the stool hold in more water, keeping it softer. One tablespoon of olive oil, taken on an empty stomach in the morning, may relieve constipation for many healthy adults. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice along with some extra virgin olive oil gives you a leg up on your daily vitamin C, an antioxidant nutrient that helps the immune system work properly, but more importantly, helps the body to maintain a balanced pH. Constipation refers to the slow movement of stools through your bowels. You may only have a few bowel movements per week. Consult a doctor before trying this remedy. Thanks!!
