-
Hello, my child is 16 years old. He frequently suffers from tension headaches. He experiences dull head pain and pressure around his forehead. According to studies Most people who experience tension headaches have episodic headaches. These episodic headaches occur one or two times per month on average. Can anyone share effective treatment for the same?

@yelli Hello, Rest, ice packs, or a long, hot shower may be beneficial to relieve a tension-type headache. A variety of strategies can help you reduce the severity and frequency of chronic tension-type headaches without using the medicine. Other things that can be helpful are managing stress, and Perfecting your posture. Good posture can help keep muscles from tensing. When standing, hold your shoulders back and head level. Pull in abdomen and buttocks. When sitting, make sure your thighs are parallel to the ground and head isn't slumped forward. Talk therapy may help you cope with the effects of chronic pain. Thanks!!
