Hello, I am 39 yearsold female. I have been diagnosed with acid reflux and GERD. I have been having chest pain continuously for 3 days, and pain in my arms, shoulders, and neck. And I have been having either muscle spasms or a sensation in the middle of my chest which causes me to have an anxiety attack. I haven't gone to the doctor for this yet. One thing I want to share My mother's side has a lot of heart disease and high blood pressure. I wanted to know could it be anything serious?

@lirik Hello, GERD, but with the family history you have, I strongly advise you get yourself checked at once. Then you can relax, knowing exactly what's going on and what you need (or don't need) to do about it. GERD can mimic heart pain very accurately, which only clouds the picture. This is the likely cause of your discomfort, but if the symptoms are new it is far better to err on the side of caution and ease your mind. Go see a doctor or get medical help and find out for sure. If it's GERD there are things that can be done to get it under control. If it's something else you need to know that too. Thanks!!!
