Hello, Mt friend has Grade 2 bladder tumor, with metastases in the lungs. He is now under chemotherapy treatment. He has taken the 2nd dose. Since the administration of the 2nd dose, he has been suffering from recurring hiccups, every 15 minutes. The hiccups are severe and shake his whole body. Can anyone help me with this? Is it common after chemotherapy?

@linnetah Hello, Hiccup is one of the common side effects of chemotherapy. Intractable hiccups seriously affect patients' rest and eating, reduce the quality of life, and increasingly attract the attention of oncologists. Hiccups are not a reported side effect of chemotherapy agents used for bladder cancer. They do produce nausea and vomiting. It is possible that the hiccups may be related to his renal function which needs to be looked into.
