Hello, I am a 31-year-old male. Recently I have experienced a rapid loss in my ability to memorize new things and also I feel a lack of concentration. I often forget things, misplace things, and can't recall things I read. Are these the starting symptoms of Alzheimer's or Parkinson's? Should I consult a doctor? I am concerned about it what can I do? Please help!!!!

@thelle Hello, my recommendation for you would be to see a doctor. Memory loss is a symptom of Alzheimer's or other dementia. Alzheimer's is a brain disease that causes a slow decline in memory, thinking, and reasoning skills. One of the most common signs of Alzheimer’s disease, especially in the early stage, is forgetting recently learned information. Others include forgetting important dates or events, asking the same questions over and over, and increasingly needing to rely on memory aids. Please visit a doctor and get a full evaluation. Thanks!!
