Troublesome menstrual symptoms
I've been having strange symptoms over my periods that are seemingly getting worse each cycle. Each period lasts 9-10 days. My symptoms include severe cramps in the lower abdomen, moderate pains in the lower back, vomiting, headaches, fatigue, paleness, and diarrhea. Fortunately, these symptoms are only severe on the first 3 or so days of each cycle, but I am told the length of the periods overall is not normal. I take paracetamol to no affect.
@jassy this all sounds fairly normal and absolutely nothing to worry about. What you describe are normal period symptoms. The vomiting is perhaps a little unusual, but it might be that you are particularly sensitive to the change in hormones that occurs during your period. Everyone is different and everyone gets different levels of severity in symptoms. If you are finding the cramps too much to deal with, along with the vomiting, I suggest you speak to your GP and they may be able to prescribe something to help. And the length of them isn't anything to worry about, I'm sure they will settle down in time. Again though, everyone is different and period lengths vary from woman to woman. So try not to worry and speak to your GP if you want something to ease the cramps and vomiting.
