for about 7 weeks now my daughter has had a sharp pain in her lower right abdomen. It comes every few minutes and lasts for about 30 seconds. It gets worse over the day. It especially hurts when she puts weight on the right leg, when she urinates, laughs, and runs. She has had no change in her urinating or stools, and no fever or vomiting. Periods normal and pain unchanged during the cycle. In fact, no other symptoms other than the pain. Urine and blood tests are normal, ultrasound scan of ovaries and womb normal, X-ray of pelvis normal. Took her to A&E yesterday because it got so bad. They did the usual tests and said everything is normal. They said they see a lot of abdominal pain cases and most of the time can find no cause. With pain this bad, in such a specific area of this intermittent nature, there must be a cause, they just don't know what it is. Did anyone get the experience with this? Or any ideas?

@suki Have they done an abdominal ultrasound /CT focusing on the appendix? There are two types of appendicitis. Acute and grumbling. The grumbling type can go on for weeks with on and off episodes. If these scans haven't been done, insist on them.
