Hello, I am 48 years old. I am a type-2 diabetic patient. I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was 44 years old. Recently my neighbor who is also a type-2 diabetic patient is diagnosed with a grade one fatty liver. I am worried. Is it possible? Is it possible to get fatty liver if I am a diabetic patient?

@louie Hello, yes. Diabetes increases the chances of fatty liver. Fatty liver is more common in a type-1 diabetic patient than type-2 diabetic patient. To avoid complications you can always take certain steps to protect your liver. You can exercise, eat healthy, Take steps to reduce high blood pressure, Keep your low-density lipoprotein, cholesterol, and triglycerides, and don't drink too much alcohol. Thank You.
