      Symptoms of menopause can significantly disrupt a woman's ability to work, according to a cross-sectional study presented at the annual meeting of the North American Menopause Society. The study, by researchers at the Mayo Clinic, found that roughly one in eight women said issues stemming from menopause caused them to miss multiple days of work; reduce hours on the job; and even quit, retire, or be laid off.

        @ustaf The findings represent an opportunity to improve the treatment of menopause symptoms in working women and "draw attention to the need for creation of workplace policies that include education of employers, managers, and supervisors in order to support midlife women during this universal life stage transition
