I have an extremely bitter taste in my mouth all the time which I think is due to a dry mouth- although it doesn't feel dry. I also have dry lips on and off. After plenty of tests and unsuccessful medications. I am putting it down to menopause. I am 55 so possibly post-menopausal. HRT didn't stop it and I developed menopausal symptoms while taking it that I didn't have before so I came off. Please - has anyone else experienced this? If so what did you do and will it go away??? I have had it for over a year.

@philippa I have it too. post-Meno also. I chew gum because it seems nothing helps. I do rinse with baking soda water after I brush my teeth, it helps a bit but not much although my teeth and gums seem to like it.
Mine is worse if my stomach is acting up. I'm not sure if there's a connection or not. I get nauseous pretty easily these days and I notice it more. Have you tried any moisturizing mouthwash? It didn't work for me but maybe give it a try and see if it helps.
