Hi, I am 17 years old. My abdomen hurts a lot when I get my period. Will oral contraception pills help me with period pain?

@pao Hello and welcome to the forum. Yes, contraception pills may help you to relieve period pain as it decreases the amount of prostaglandins. It’s a chemical that the body releases to reduce the contractions, then there is less pain.
