leech bite swelling treatment?
Hello, I am 23 years old girl. I have come to a hilly area for expedition. In this place leeches are everywhere. I got a leech bite. Though it is painless, bleeding has not stopped. Itching and burning, irritation are there along with redness and swelling. This is the first time that I am experiencing this. I have removed the leech. I don’t know what to do. Please provide some suggestions.
@jiniya Leeches are a type of parasitic worm you might encounter in grasses and fresh water. These creatures can attach themselves to humans and feed on their blood. Leeches can also expand up to 10 times their size while feeding, allowing them to consume a lot of your blood at one time. Clean your wound with rubbing alcohol or a first aid cleanser to help avoid infection, then use a sterile bandage to cover it. Change the bandage frequently for the first few hours until bleeding stops.
