Hey, I gave birth to a boy five months ago through a c-section. After giving birth I gained a lot of weight. I want to lose some weight. Is it safe to exercise? If not, when can I exercise after a c-section?

@arundhati Hello, Yes you can exercise. Hormones can affect your joints for about 6 months after birth so start off gently. The patient is recommended to wait for 12 weeks postpartum before starting high-impact exercises. If you no longer have any pain, it’s usually safe to start low-impact exercises, such as pilates, yoga, gentle jogging, and low resistance gym work.
